Thanksgiving is a time for individuals to pause and consider their blessings. The Branson Tri-Lakes Kiwanis club used it as an opportunity to collect food for Christian Action Ministries (CAM) so they could help those who had less to be thankful for.
During the first part of November, club members collected canned food items as well as cash for Christian Action Ministries’ food pantry. When they finished, they had collected 409 pounds of food plus $135 in cash donations.
“Our sincere thanks to Branson Tri-Lakes Kiwanis club for always being sensitive to the needs of our community,” said Pat Davis, Executive Director of Christian Action Ministries. “Every can and boxed meal, as well as every penny is vital to our operation of helping our neighbors in need. We so much appreciate the efforts and generosity of each person involved.”
“Thank you to everyone who donated to our food drive,” said Cory Ross, president of the Branson Tri-Lakes Kiwanis. “Our club is glad to be able to assist CAM in their food pantry ministry as part of our dedication to changing the world, one child and one community at a time.”
The next event for the Branson Tri-Lakes Kiwanis is their Pancakes with Santa which will be held on Saturday, December 7th from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Paradise Grill on Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, Branson.
Kiwanis is a global organization of member-volunteers who are dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. The Branson Tri-Lakes Kiwanis meets each Tuesday at noon at Golden Corral at 3551 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway in Branson.
