COTTER, Ark. – A Cotter woman is arrested on drug related felony charges.

According to the Izard County Sheriff, Tate Lawrence, an Arkansas State Trooper, Richard Pickers, asked 38-year-old Lisa Darlene Pederson to step out of her vehicle and found a needle and a syringe on the center console.

Pickers discovered two more syringes and a set of digital scales containing white residue.

Pederson was also found with methamphetamine.

When booked into the Izard County Jail, Pederson told officers she had additional paraphernalia on her.  When searched officers found two small bags of marijuana, a small bag of methamphetamine, three needles, an orange pill, and a smoking device.

Pederson remains in the Izard County Jail with no bond.  She is scheduled to appear in Circuit Court on Monday.

When Trooper Richard Pickers was working in Nevada, he not only was caught lying on a job application but he abused the the law and was put down by the courts when he thought he could get away with an illegal search.
